  1. The best way to get there is by taking one of the two  Keukenhof Express buses, leaving from Amsterdam. You can purchase just transportation or a Combo Ticket that includes entry to the park, allowing you to skip the line. Access information on the official website. Buses leave from two stops:

  • MetroStation RAI Europaplein, Express 852

  • Schiphol Airport- Keukenhof Express 858

  2. Rent a Car (40 minutes drive) with RentalCars

How to Get to Mainau Island:


  1. The most common way to reach Mainau Island is by boat or ferry from Konstanz to Lake Constance (the closest city in Germany).


  2. You can reach it by bus from Konstanz train station. The journey takes about 15 minutes and stops near the large parking lot next to the visitor center. From there, cross the short road to the island.


  3. You cannot enter the island by car. Park next to the visitor center and walk from there.


  4. The island and Mainau are less than an hour from Zurich, Switzerland, making them excellent day trips.

  1. The most practical way is by Metro/RER. Here are some examples:

  • Take the RER C line from the Center of Paris towards Versailles Château Rive-Gauche. Travel time is about 30 minutes from the Eiffel Tower!

  • From La Défense, take the U line towards La Verrière to Versailles Chantiers in 20 minutes. (Check the train timetables on the apps Île de France Mobilités or RATP.

  1. If you prefer the bus, line 171 will take you from Pont de Sèvres in Boulogne-Billancourt to the Château de Versailles, the final stop!

  2. Car: Drive along the A13 towards Versailles. It takes about 30 minutes. Check the parking spaces.

  3. Or go along Cuesta del Rey Chico, which means Little King's Hill. (Distance from Paseo de los Tristes to the Access Pavilion: 860 m)

  4. Use public transport. Several bus lines, such as the C30 Alhambra - Center, run from the city to the Alhambra.

  5. You can also take a taxi or drive. Parking is available at the Alhambra entrance, next to the ticket office.

  2. Take the metro to the Malostranska stop (line A). Then take the tram to Pohorelec (tram 22, 23). Finally, walk for 10 minutes along Strahovska Street.

  3. Climb Petřín Hill. The climb is 30 minutes and is steep, but the walk is pleasant, passing through the park;

  4. Take a taxi.
